Well, what a year it’s been so far!!
So many occasions have had to go by in 2020, without being marked in the way that we usually would. New babies have been born but may not yet have been met by grandparents, birthday parties have been cancelled, weddings postponed and, sadly, other life-changing events have passed by without being able to share a hug or being able to support a loved one by just physically being there.
We don’t know about you but particularly during lockdown, we found ourselves, as a family, getting those old photograph albums out and reminiscing about family holidays (where the sun always seemed to shine), laughing at those hairstyles and the clothes we used to wear (what were we thinking!) and just sharing memories of the passed times we spent together. It’s strange how many emotions those old photos can evoke.
Now we have Christmas just around the corner and, no doubt, our celebrations for this too will be very different. We may not be able to get together in quite the same way as in previous years but we can still let our loved ones know that we are thinking of them. A sensitively chosen gift can mean so much and professionally printed photographs make ideal presents. Why not combine that with a studio session for a truly unique Christmas gift?
This year we have introduced “Christmas Mini Sessions” at the studio, for young children, with a touch of vintage charm and nostalgia – we have to say that we’ve fallen in love with our newest Christmas backgrounds and the images we can create for our clients. Perfect for Christmas cards and framed prints, acrylics and canvases as well as a whole host of other gift ideas, Christmas shopping may have become a lot easier!!
Our “mini” sessions last 30 minutes in our Covid-secure town centre studio. There is no queuing involved as sessions are by appointment only and we will be allowing plenty of time between appointments to ensure safe sanitising of all areas.
Several families have been in touch to ask if we would be able to offer “school” type individual photographs at the studio as many schools cannot now provide this due to government guidelines, restricting access to class “bubbles”. We are happy to say that this is something we can do so please get in touch for availability and our special “school photograph” packages.
